Grill Insert Removal

In this stock pic below, are the upper and lower grill inserts removable. I'd kind of like to see what my LTZ looks like with those black. If they are removable, how do you remove them?

Not sure if removable. But youll have to take the grille off to remove them if they are. A very easy task.

I just replaced my LTZ grille with a High Country. Didn't study the inserts in detail.

When I plasti-dipped mine, I took the entire grille off. I don't remember exactly what it looked like, but I think the insert is held to the grille by a ton of clips. I thought it would be too much work to undo all those clips, so I just taped it off and sprayed the insert while still attached to the grille.

In retrospect, with how much time I spent taping, it probably would have been easier to just remove the insert from the grille. I'll probably do it that way next time.

I have a 2015 midnight edition grille and I know they arnt the same style grille but all the chrome fins on it are indeed just held by clips. Looks like if you popped them off those pieces would just come right out. I'm assuming the 16's are probably almost identical
