Poor idle and accleration

I own a 98 tahoe and it idles a little rough not bad but not good. And my acceleration sucks at low rpm but once I go above 2000 rpm the accerlation is amazing. It won't ever do a burn out. If I try to launch it off the line holding the brake and gas the rims just sit at 1500 rpm and has crappy accleration tell 2000 rpm 2500rpm does anyone know why please help?

Scan for codes, compression test, leak down test, fuel pressure check, check ignition system, check exhaust, and then post results.
