Borla Black Chrome Tip for Stock Exhaust.

Borla #20162 is a 2.75 inch inlet universal tip. Has anyone used this on the stock exhaust 5.3L? A few websites said it was clamped and a few said welded. I was thinking of grabbing this tip for my Dad's truck but didn't want to bother if it needs to be welded.

It's a weld-on but I'm sure you can go to AutoZone and just buy a clamp for it, they run like $3.00, should work fine!

I doubt it'd be wallet breaking, maybe $50-$150 depending on the shop.

I called Borla directly. They looked up the part number and said this tip is clamp on and comes with the clamp.

Oh awesome, well then that works, I ordered a GMC etched chrome exhaust for my truck and it was a clamp-on and looks awesome! I'm sure your dad will love it.
