Weird A/C problem

I've searched, but no luck.

 

2005 Sierra 2500HD with dual-zone electronic climate control

 

When I adjust the temperature knobs the temperature display jumps all over the place and it is difficult to set the temperature you want. Any ideas what's wrong?

 

I've "reset" the system using instructions found elsewhere (pull fuse, replace fuse, run engine for 1-2 min, turn off ignition for 10-30 secs, then turn back on).

No change

 

Help!

Mine did the same thing. Bought a new one from amazon, installed it in 5 minutes and haven't had a problem since.

I'd say your control unit needs replacing. The knob just isn't working correctly.

mine did it as well. purchased a new one from Rockauto, now my unit is only hot at 90, other than that, the climate control is useless, it doesn't matter what temperature it is cold. only on 90 will it get hot. I may have a bad unit. however since I have replaced it, it seems my aftermarket dvd/cd head unit doesn't shut off. actually drained a red top optima on Saturday.
