runnign lights under my tailgate

Well I'm thinking instead of buying those line of fire LED's that stylin concepts sells i would make my own. what I'm wondering is has anybody else done this without having a body lift i see inbetween the bed tailgate and the bumper the top of the bumper cab kinda comes up on the OBS trucks. would i be able to cut that off cleanly and screw the lights in where that was that way the tailgate can come down? any Advice will help thanks.

I have the line of foire lights below the tailgate. They don't hit at all when the gate opens.

You might have a problem with anything thicker or larger.

Maybe you can add a filler piece to cover the gap then add the line of fire.

 

I get more people asking me were to but them and how cool they look that I might even try selling them.

well instead of paying the 100 bucks they want for those line of fire LED's i just picked up an ID bar like the duallys have and cut a little peice of the bumper cap out and installed it so the tailgate can come down works perfect and only cost me $14.95
