Quick Chirp / Beep When I Open my Driver's Door??

I just purchased my 2015 SIlverado last Thursday. I don't think this happens every time, but several times when I stop the truck (turn the ignition off, take out the key), I get a quick chirp/beep just as I open my driver's door to get out. Just one short, but loud beep. Any idea what this is?

 

Sorry if this is a stupid question! I tried searching for a cause, but no luck!

Thanks for the reply, but I am pretty sure that this is not the case. I am trying to pay attention each time I stop and get out to see when it happens. This morning when I got to work, it did not happen.

 

Oh well! I was hoping that this was common and I just was overlooking something obvious. Guess not!

My 2017 dings sometimes when I turn off and open door and if you look at the screen where you speedometer is it says reminder to check backseat. It does not do it all the time

Another good suggestion, and I will have to look at my speedometer for messages, BUT everything I read says this was a late 2016 and newer "option". Could it simply be a software upgrade that might have been added to my 2015 during a service visit?
