Possibly good information for you guys

Ok, I have been having issues with my 2011 Silverado 2500HD. It has been setting the codes P0171, Bank 1 system too lean, and P0174, Bank 2 system too lean.

I checked everything related to these codes. All of my vacuum lines, MAF sensor, O2 sensors, intake leaks, etc. etc. etc.....and having found nothing, I was stumped. I was about ready to throw in the towel and take it to the shop. Yesterday, I changed my oil, and knew having 120K miles on my truck I needed to change the serpentine belt. So I picked one up at the local parts store along with the oil. So when I pulled the tension pulley to replace the belt, Lo and behold, I found my problem.....Due to the tight fit of the plastic air intake assy and the pulley, after the belt had stretched enough, it allowed the pulley to rub a hole in the lower portion. So, if any of you guys experience these codes, start here first. Would be a quick and easy elimination so you wont have to go through pulling your hair out like I did!! LOL....I ordered the part and am awaiting it to come in. So in the meantime, I wrapped the part in 100MPH tape and erased the codes. Took it out on a test drive and rechecked codes. Good to go.
