How to install belt trim

Swapped chrome belt trim for black on 2017 Silverado Crewcab. Front installed perfectly. Rear doors, unable to get clips to engage. Anyone else have this issue and maybe a solution.

Your clips are probably broken. If you search these forums you will find pictures showing the small "lip" in the center of the bigger clips. Usually these break off when you remove the trim. If they are broken you won't get the trim clips to engage. In one of the threads there are part numbers to buy replacement clips.

If you need a large quantity, these may be the way to go. Purchased some trim and had to replace 14 of 16 clips. These worked great and were much cheaper than buying individually from a dealer.
