Idling RPM

Before I got dual exhaust it was around 1200, now it's down to 600.

 

Anyone's drastically lower/higher?

Before and after dual exhaust mine's around 550 - 600 (when it's warmed up).

Your truck idled at 1,200 before an exhaust system?  Wholly sh*t!  Even my Camming 6 speed LS1 idles lowewr than that!!

 

And then 600 seems WAY low, even if in gear.

Mine idles around 600rpm when I start it up and it's not in gear.

My 6.0L (when warm) idles at 600 rpm in park and 500-550 rpm in gear.

 

My '00 Silverado 5.3L was about the same...

My '99 5.3L idles 600 RPM out of gear, and 500 RPM in gear.  It has since day 1.

Mine idle's at 650RPM when it's fully warmed up.  It's garaged overnight and when I start it up its at 1000RPM for about 10 seconds and then slowly begins its descent to 650.
