16' rado 1500 black bottom bumper piece

So I went camping in the woods this past weekend and found a nice spot it was a blast. Getting out was a problem though and I found myself in a very tight fit between 2 trees. Well the one trees roots ripped off the black piece below the chrome bumper. Should I remove completely or have reinstalled? I've seen one without the black on the bottom and it didn't look right to me with the curves in the chrome

Its all about preference....some take it off and some like it.
