A little white smoke at acceleration

Hey guys a little bit ago I took off at a stop like and a little white smoke came out of the pipes, well that's at least what my friend said that in my opinion isn't mechanically minded, (I don't know everything either but I like to think I'm somewhat mechanically minded) I never dog the truck and I stay at normal rpm mostly. And I don't drive far to work or other places I need to be. So is that little bit of smoke just from not being dogged then I got on it? Thanks.

Is this truck new? I believe the newer direct injection motors are known for a little smoke here and there..which I think is considered normal...otherwise was it damp out aka condensate coming out?

White smoke is coolant getting into the combustion chamber. Generally not a good thing. Probably a small head gasket leak. If you want to dig further, pull the plugs and see if one looks worse than the others.
