14 Silverado 5.3 - coolant level drop? no leak/smell?

Hi all,

 

So I noticed my coolant/antifreeze levels have lowered - like an inch under the "full" line on the coolant tank. I have approximately 68k on the engine.

 

The engine hasn't overheated or shown any issues. AC works fine and I always do street driving (never tow, speeding, etc). Something tells me that the coolant level dropping is a bit odd. I do not smell any antifreeze, nor I see any signs of it leaking from simple looking around the radiator.

 

I have searched the forums the last couple of minutes and found people with coolant leaks and radiator stains/marks as signs of a leak.

 

 

Do you guys have any recommendations on what I can do? I was planning on buying a bottle of antifreeze to top it off, but I figured I should ask here first.

 

 

 

(I also live in Phoenix where temps are hitting 110-115f normally, if that makes any difference)

See Here. Same happened to me and this was the cause. Replaced the radiator and thermostat under warranty.
