MANUAL TRANSMISSION HELP

So I've got a 5-speed manual silverado with a 4.8 L LS1.

So far, I've got a FIPK II Cold Air Kit, Gibson Headers, HPP3 (soon to switch to diablo), Granatelli Mass-Air, Belltech Suspension, Baer Brakes, and some other stuff.

BUT

What I need the most is a short throw SHIFTER, a performance CLUTCH, and some rear gears (I'm using open-ended 3.42 right now, and want a posi 3.73)

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO FIND A SHIFTER AND OR CLUTCH??

I'm looking for the same thing. I know the tranny is a New Venture Gear 3500. And I can't find any mods for It. I want to check into swapping it for another one like a tremec but am not sure if it will bolt up.

I had a 95 C-1500 with the 5-speed, which I believe was the NVG-3500. I added a Hurst Competition Plus shifter from Summit and it made a huge improvement. The only downside was it was a little noisy and the plate on the boot did not fully cover the hole in the carpet so I made my own. I think it cost around $160.

A T-56 (camaro) will bolt up to your motor, but I'm not sure about the shifter location. 2 over drive gears rule though.
