control panel question

Can anyone tell me what this "horizontal slit" is, in this part of the controls panel (in the center)? This is on the left side of the dash, right next to the door.

the vehicle manual does not show it.

It is where your 4wd drive selector knob should be. But since your cheap and went with a 2wd that's where you put dollar bills to save up for more accessories on your next truck purchase.[emoji23]
