SOLVED - thank you all that have responded - I have been away working so I was unable to respond until now - This "fish eye" sensor for a lack of proper terminology is for the folding mirrors - There is only one on the passenger side only - this tells the operating system if the mirrors are in the open or closed position.

Uh...no. Is it a tiny ball thing sticking out on the bottom of the passenger mirror? If so that is an ambient temperature sensor. If your truck is a diesel it is functional. Has nothing to do with the folding mirrors.
