Weird Wire Loop

I have a 2014 Sierra XLT and was wondering if it's possible to lower the back of the back seat and not just raise the seat of the bac seat. In trying to figure this out, I see that all three seat positions have a wire loop. Wondering what this loop is and if it has something to do with lowering the back of that seat.

That loop is for a forward facing car seat. It is a tether anchor.

Not sure what you are talking about, just went out and looked at my 2017 silverado. Looks exactly like the picture OP posted. Maybe you should go look at yours.

XLT is a trim package on Ford trucks, not GM trucks.

Common sense would tell you OP meant SLT, sure he miss typed since s and x are close to each other on keypad. Maybe you have never miss typed anything? OP had a simple question, answer or move on.
