96 Ex Cab Interior Trim Pieces Needed

Does anyone know where to order interior trim parts for 1996 extended cab? I installed some aftermarket speakers and some of my trim broke due to age.

 

I'm need the piece that is at the front of the rear window on the top of the cab. The piece that has to be flexed to be installed/removed.

I looked there several times and couldn't find exact pieces that I need. Seems to be limited to door panels and such.

 

I'll try classic industries or something to see if they have it.

What color is your interior? Is it the trim piece that runs side to side (upper speaker to upper speaker) on the roof in the interior?

I have tan/beige interior. And yes the piece i need is the long flat moulding that runs along the top of the headliner right next to the rear glass.

15975921 is the OE number. Obsolete on all GM avenues, no dealers showing in the 50 US states. Ebay looks dried up as well. Have you tried any salvage yards?

 

I wonder if though, you got that aftermarket one and got the correct trim paint and just paint it? Most of those places like Classic Industries and others sell the correct colored interior panel paints. Might be worth that route.

Back in 2002 Bestbuy broke that piece on my dad's 1996 c1500 extended cab while installing the rear speakers. They did not bring it up until my dad saw it when he went to pick it up. They had a very hard time finding one of the same color. This was in 2002 so I can only imagine how much harder it will be to find one today.

I may be out of luck finding a replacement part. There are a few salvage yards near me, so I can search there, but like with mine, I'm afraid that I'll break any that I may find due to the age and exposure to direct sunlight.

 

Being a 20 year old truck, I wasn't surprised when the little tabs broke off the side. I also had some of the metal clips break on my side panels where the rear speakers are so now it vibrates at a medium volume.
