2004 2500 light duty question/questions

Alrighty. As stated in my introduction thread, this truck not being an HD is honestly becoming a pita. I titled this question/questions because I'm sure there will be more than one question I will have for the group! Anyways, does anymore know what size u joints are in this thing? Rockauto has many options in diameter and lock up. I do not have a mic to get an accurate measurement. The vin to this thing is 1gcgk23u94f168712. If that helps anyone. I've tried to go through and decode the rpo codes but was drinking and got side tracked lol sorry for the long post just to ask about u joints lol thanks in advance

I'd just remove the u joints and take them with you to the auto parts place so you can match them up

Chevy u joints are always a pain to order....the HD have like four options....I just take them in and match up.

You could phone a gm dealer with your vin, they should be able to give you the right gm part number, and you can cross match to other brands from there...

Thanks for the replys. Anyone wanna buy a truck? Lol. I can't win with this thing. Put crescent wrench on pitman arm nut, 1 1/4 on the dot. 1 1/4 socket I bought, too small. 1 3/8 wrench I got, too big. Go buy a 1 5/16 socket.... Too big. Venting session over for not!

Hello Metric system. It's nice to finally meet you.

 

All the nuts/bolts on the truck should be metric.
