Wireless CarPlay?

Anyone tried to get a USB Bluetooth receiver and see if you connect your iPhone to that, would CarPlay work? The phone has a Bluetooth option on carplay, but the truck only allows "projection" through the USB.

 

Just a thought to cut the cord on those short trips.

No it would not work. It is designed for hardwire through lightning audio in all applications aside from the new alpine radio that does it via a wireless connection... wifi was chosen because Bluetooth drained the phone battery too quickly and made it pointless to not have it hardwired.
