OMG I am about to lose my mind...lol.

 

Just replaced Quadrajet 4bbl carb on 76 C20 and had no problems at all with reconnecting cables springs etc except for this gosh darn divorced choke rod.  I am having a heck of a time getting the linkage clip attached and have broken (I think) two clips now.

Can anyone give me any pointers, suggestions, ritual rites, or other advice on getting this thing on?
