Oil change question

Hey, all.

 

I used to have an 02 silverado, and there was a change oil light that came on letting me know it was time to change my oil. I now have an 02 s-10 (almost a year old now), and it just hit 3k miles. I am apprehensive about going too much further without an oil change, unless this has a similar setup with a change oil light. I looked in the owner's manual, and couldn't find anything, but thought I'd just double check with you guys.

 

If there isn't a light, at what interval do you guys change your oil typically? I do 90% city driving.

3000 miles, and the S-10's do not have a change oil light.
