Temp control problem

My ‘04 Silverado only wants to blow heat on the passenger side, yet I have both temps set to max heat. On the driver’s side it blows cold. It is a WT trim with manaul dual temp controls. I am not an expert at climate control systems, but is it a bad sensor/actuator that’s not picking up the driver temp or something?

It is and luckily for you it is the easy one to replace.

Actuator you need.

Good Actuator - http://amzn.to/2zokuZE ($24)

Best Actuator - http://amzn.to/2iQYYGY ($80)

Video on how to replace. I know it says escalde but it is the same repair.

this blend door actuator, are there 2 of them (driver/pass side) for dual climate control, with the PS being the hardest of the 2 to get at? I had the same problem but the PS was blowing heat on the coldest AC setting. The dealer repaired it upon my purchase but the tech made mention it was a real PIA trying to reach it.
