Steering a bit tight first COLD morning.

So this morning was definitely the coldest morning it's been since I got my new Silverado back in June. The truck read an ambient temp of 20 degrees. I used the remote start about 5 minutes prior to going out to the truck which was parked in my driveway. The cabin was still a bit cold and not at the 75 degrees yet that I had set the climate control to.

I noticed the steering felt a bit frozen/tight as I maneuvered out of the driveway. I have not noticed this before, but like I said, this was the coldest morning so far since owning the truck.

Is it normal for the steering to feel a bit frozen in 20 degree temps?  I never felt this in my 2008 Tacoma.

My 2016 is the same way when it gets cold. It does get noticeably stiffer. I'd say nothing to worry about

I can say mine feels the same until it gets into the negatives. Not to long ago when it hit -25 it was very stiff and last year when it hit -60 it's like no power steering at all till you do a lot of turns, but nothing has broke so I say it's fine.
