DRL's

Don't know if everyone knows it or not, but I turned off my DRL's for good. I simply opened my hood on my 03 Z71, and pulled the fuse. Now no more DRL's. The good thing about that is the fuse only controls the DRL's, and nothing else..

The DRL's are great.......... Adds a cool look in town. I used to be the only one with amber DRL;s however it's starting to catch on........

I might have to add amber DRLs soon. I like them and not to many people have them in around here.

Do the Chevy and GMC trucks have a switch to turn the DRL off like the Escalade?

Yes, you have to push the "dome override" button 4 times in a row. This disables them...Until you turn the truck off. Then it reverts to them being automatic.

Youse guyz need to post year models with some of the questions and contributions since the General constantly makes revisions as the years progress. I'm talking to me, too.

Anyway, the '03 Silverado allows the DRLs, headlamps, anything to be turned off, or turned on for that matter. You basically have nearly full control. Even the dome light can be switched to stay off, for example. The DRLs certainly can be told to turn off. Can't recall if they stay off when one returns to the truck and cranks it back up, though.
