Front grill emblem removable? without breaking

So i know most of the emblems on the trucks are stuck on and can be removed with fishing lines and some time. The front emblem, i have read different posts for the trucks and other vehicles. Some models(not the trucks) require some minor drilling, some are clip in but easily damaged if not enough care if taken

I havent had time yet to take a look at mine, but before i even start removing anything on the truck, does anyone know if the front emblem on 17' Crew Cab Z71 is easily removable and reinstallable?  If there is any chance that removing it will make it not go back securely, then ill leave it alone and mod on the truck. Rather have an emblem that is secure and not iffy..

Yep, takes 5 minutes to remove the grill and you can access the tabs to release the emblem.  Easy Peasy.

 

Some folks with toothpicks for arms can manage to reach up from underneath and access the tabs to release it.  But, I am well-fed and that option didn't work for my arms.  Plus it's easier to see what you're doing if you just take the grill off.

ok, cool, i recall a friend with his truck, cant remember the year, but it was clip on , he took his time and still managed to break a few of the tabs/clips, had to use 3M tape along with the few clips that survived. Thats what i dont want to have. If the clips are strong enough to release and reinstall, then im popping it off as soon as i can get a few moments to do it.

Take the grill off.  Then, you can see what you are doing and you won't break any tabs.  You run a greater risk of breaking them if you reach up and try to release them by feel.

ok, cool, im hoping during the holiday vacation(starts today) i have time to do a few things to the truck, like add my tint and other mods like install the lift
