Adding second battery

Hello, has anyone added a second battery in a new Sierra or Silverado? There is a tray for a second battery and wondering how involved it is to add a second one and tie it into the vehicle to the two work together and charge properly. 6.2L 2018. Thanks

You will also find where people use this space for a small storage box.  I have thought of adding a second battery but couldn't justify the cost of buying an extra battery.  I thought it could be handy for trailer towing applications but trailers have their own!

Bolt down an old ammo box and use it to keep your lunch warm on the road.
