washer fluid bottle

My wife's 01 suburban has a leak in the washer fluid bottle. Anyone have any suggestions on replacement. That thing is buried in the engine compartment nowdays, and other than removing the battery to get to it, it doesn't look to bad but I've heard it can be tough. Also, can the replacement bottle be bought other than at a dealer?

I thought mine was leaking as well but it turned out that battery acid or something ate the crap out of the pump and the pump literrally fell apart. I actually bought the bottle from the dealer, $24 plus tax. No aftermarket place carried it and after shipping cost from parts direct or parts zone it turned out to be the same price at the dealer. I ended up not using it because it was the pump so it is waiting to go back to the dealer. However the pump is avaliable at AutoZone for $16.

Either way the bottle needs to come out. The bottle actually comes out from the bottom. There are two plastic attachments throught the inner fender and two bolts. One bolt is reachable at the top the other is down near the bracket the PCM is on. I know when I removed mine I did take the battery out (because it was leaking) and cleaned every thing up. I'm not sure if you really need to remove it but it helped a lot.

Thanks for the input. I bought the bottle yesterday for $27 at the dealer which was surprisingly cheap for anything from a dealership. I am going to install tonight and I'll check the pump too. :jester:
