Headlights fogging up on inside, 2007 Yukon XL 1500 - Fixable?

My wife was going to have the headlights polished up on her 2007 Yukon, so when we took it in I asked if they could reseal the headlight - which of course they couldn't. They said to purchase new headlight assemblies. The truck has been garaged most of its life, but when it rains, there is a lot of moisture/liquid that builds up inside the headlight assemblies. The appear to be separable, but I'm not sure if I can get a gasket to reseal. I also thought about getting some clear silicon and giving that a shot. Does anyone have a suggestion as to the best way to fix the problem without purchasing new headlight assemblies? Thanks

it happens.  the seals get old and they leak.  There really is no way that I know of to fix it, you need to get a new one.  Don't waste time and effort on trying to fix them.

Have to agree with what Colossus said, due to the fact that you can get aftermarket headlights (both) for 170 on up depending on what style you want. Factory ones cost a lot more than that
