Active Stability Traction

Hey guys,

Im new here and just looking to see if someone can help me out. I just purchased my used 2007 Sierra 1500 about 3 weeks ago and have been loving it. I decided to do some mods to it right away since I’ve been wanting a truck. I added a Spectre CAI and just this weekend I added long time headers. I was excited to get that new exhaust sound. Well while, taking out the old manifolds on the passanger side I noticed two bolts broken on the cylinder head already. So I now have an exhaust leak which I will remove the head this week and take it to be removed as it will be cheaper than having someone take the broken bolts while the head is on the engine. Anywho, after driving the truck for a few miles I started to get a message saying to service the active stability traction. It started to shift hard from 1st-2nd and sometimes from 2nd-3rd. The light would only come on when braking. Right before that it was saying to service the brakes. I do have some comes that it is pulling but that’s because I went catless with the y-pipe. I’m wanting to get it tune this week, but has anyone had this problem before?

If it matters my codes are

P0174

P2401

P2404

im hoping all of this is just because it needs a tune for the headers, but any advice would help me a lot.

thank you

Hey man. Couple of questions.

When you installed the CAI how oily was the filter and how did you run the MAF sensor? I see alot of 2A codes from oiled up MAF sensors all the time or and MAF that was installed backwards.

As far as taking the head off is concerned that it a terrible Idea. Personally I would take the fender well out and remove the manifold then weld a nut onto the broken bolt and remove it that way. I do it all the time and it literally takes 30 minutes to do the whole job.
