Hunting truck Mods

Hey y'all,

Just picked up a new 2018 Z71 Crew Cab Short Bed. Just wondering what if any mods you guys have on your trucks to make them more capable/practical for hunting? Currently thinking about adding a tonneau cover and possibly some a back seat gun storage box. Anyone hunt out west? How do these stock trucks do on the rough trails we have out here in the Rockies? Any tire recommendations? Also, if anyone has any pictures of their hunting truck please show them off!

Hello from Florida. I don’t have the 4x4 due to my lack of need for it down here, but I did put an undercover tunneau cover on my truck. It serves as a good spotting platform first thing in the morning or when we go out and scout. The undercover can handle a lot of weight on it and allows me to secure my extra equipment in the bed of the truck if I strike out on foot to search for tracks or hog movement.

Well I ended up adding a tonneau cover and I've had a chance to take the truck out to some of my hunting areas. Glad I went with this truck, it's a great hunting rig! Looking forward to muzzleloader season next month here in Utah.
