You got less than a year to try and convert me again.

I was talking with the parents about the car situation when I am off the permit. Looks like I will get the Ranger, HOWEVER, that depends on if my mom wants to give it up or not. She may want to hold on to it. Now, my dad will be buying a new car. So that leaves us with the car from hell, the Contour. My mom says she will drive it, but I don't want to stick her with that car. So, we may end up selling it, which means it will be time for Paco to go cheap truck shopping. Right now the trucks that I am looking at are the Bronco II, Exploder, F-150, Bronco and Ranger. Any suggestions?

I would suggest a mid 90s C1500. Mine has an engine that is not necessarily known for reliability and it still runs like new. After 171k miles and no major problems I am happy. :wtf:

What about MPG? That is the only reason why I would not get a Bronco. I can't afford 10 MPG.

I am leaning towards the Explorer...20 MPG, cheap, and easy to work on.

Paco....There aint anything easier to work on than a short block Chevy. Nothing cheaper either.....Well...A bug engine might be cheaper, but I doubt you want a bug. :sigh:

My 92 gets about 15 mpg most of the time. Usually a little better, but it averages out to around 15-16. I do have a heavy foot too. It's got 150k miles on it too. Runs like a raped ape.

I had an 89 1500 with the 305 and an auto in it, and I regularly got 20 mpg on the highway. A couple of trips I got closer to 25. With a 34 gallon tank....Ever drove for 700 miles without needing gas? I got rid of this truck at 245k miles, and it would still do a one-legged burnout all the way through 2nd gear the day I got rid of it.

:wtf: And I hate to be the one to state the obvious, but you are really asking the wrong crowd about those choices. :wtf: You know that we are going to suggest Chevys, yet you still ask. :wtf:

I drive 95% city and 5% highway and get 16 mpg. The few tanks that I have driven exclusively highway it will get upwards of 19 mpg.

**EDIT**

Im also not know to be a lightfoot eiether so it could be better.
