i want a loud exhaust i am not plaining on putting tips on my truck i want to do turn downs. i want it loud at all rpms. and should i put true duals with cats or should i just put a single muffler on with cats. i am looking at the dynomax super turbo muffler, the flowmaster 40 series delta flow, and the magnaflow 6" round 14" long muffler. so which one should i get. and which is louder the turn downs or rear exit at a 45 degree angle. my truck is the 5.3 liter. any info please

I just put on a Magnaflow single 3" in, single 3" out 14" 4x9 offset oval on my

95 Z71 350 and it sounds great. It is fairly quiet at an idle, but that is good for inspection time. It gets real loud above 2000 rpms. Real throaty and a nice deep rumble. I looked into a lot of mufflers and I personally think that the Magnaflow is just a better product than the Flowmaster.

flowmaster is the loudest for all rpms.

so i should go with a flowmaster 40 over the magnaflow and dynomax i have listened to sound clips of the magna flow and it sounds pretty loud. and so does the dyno max. so should i put 2 fowmaster or one or would a single in dual out be louder than having two. i want to have the drone that every body else does not want. and i don't really care about gaining any power.

Go with the Flowmaster 40 series. I got the American Thunder series 40 and it does not have the Delta technology which quietens it down some. As far as 1 or 2 - I have the single 3" inlet dual 2.25" outlets that exit at the rear of the truck through 3" x 16" tips on my 4.8L and this sucker is loud! :wtf:

A buddy of mine has 2 40 series on his truck b/c his truck came with true duals from the factory. About a month ago he had the tailpipes removed b/c they were rusted. He had them dumped at the mufflers. They are not nearly as loud as they used to be. The pipes, and esp the tips, act as an echo chamber to increase sound so if you want it as loud as you can get it, I would go with the rear exit at 45 degree angles you were considering!

BTW - mine def has the drone, but after you reach 65 mph and greater you can't really hear it too bad - esp if you have the raido on! :wtf:

Go with the Flowmaster 40 series. You'll love it!

Don't get the Super Turbo if you want a loud exhaust. They are very quiet. The Dynomax UltraFlow is louder. Flowmaster is probably the loudest, depending on which model you get. The short, round Magnaflows are pretty loud too.

alright since the dynomax muffler is out and the only ones left are the flowmaster 40 and the magnaflow. which one is the loudest out of the two. and would it better to have true duals with 45 degree exits. or just a single muffler with dual exits. any info please :smash:

His truck was louder than mine with the duals and tips! Sorry, I forgot to mention that his truck is 1999 5.3L Silverado so it would be a little louder than mine b/c he has a bigger engine. I was basically using that to illustrate that it was louder with the pipes and tips than it is now with the dumps. :smash:

Lets put it like this - Even though I have the 4.8L I can still wake up the neighbors! H*ll, I can wake up the whole street if I want to! :smash:
