Tail light hyper flash

Worst design ever !!!!

 Ok, I have a 2016 Silverado with factory LED tail lights. Since the lights are open to tire wash from rear tires, my left tail light seals failed and the housing was half full of water before I got the first “hyper flash” and the light quit working all together shortly after.... The unit is sealed so the whole assembly needs to be changed, after looking around I found a set of LED aftermarket lights with smoked lenses so I purchased the set.  Now all lights work fine but after about 4 flashes the blinker goes into hyper flash.... The strange thing is now it does it on both sides when before the right side worked fine. Again all lights work but hyper flashes and throws up error on dash. Also the lights are a sealed unit with 1 plug..... any help would be great... SORRY FOR THE LONG POST BUT WANTED TO GIVE ALL INFO. Thanks !!!

It sounds like that you may need to add LED Resistors to stop the hyper flash. Since the factory LED tail lights come with resistors built into the tail lights.
