Heat / AC Controls Always Illuminated

on my 2015 Silverado LTZ when I turn off the ac or heat, the temperature setting continues to display

 

I drove a 2018 service loaner silverado and the display turns off when the ac and heat are turned off

 

Is there a way for my 2015 to operate like this, the controls are identical.

That's what I was wondering, a guy I work with has an 18 when he push the main power button everything went out. On my 15 Sierra both climate controls and temperature settings stay on. But it will show up on main screen and say off.

I am pretty sure mine stay lit when I turn off my power button
