Bigger tires- how big can I go?

I've got a 96 Z-71. I'd like to put some taller, wider tires on it when the current ones wear out. What is the biggest I can go to WITHOUT a body lift or any other modifications? I don't want the tires rubbing the fenders or swaybar. The factory size is 265/70-16.

I had a 98 Z71, and I put 285-75-16's on it, looked tight. Also leveled the front end and did a ralignment. Looks killer like that.

Well, I found my own answers on the size comparison. About 1" narrower than a 12.50, almost the same on the height though.

One more question - did it throw off your speedometer much??

With raised t-bars my friend could fit 295/75/16s on his 95 k1500. He then did a body lift a week later. If you have no plans on doing a body lift I would go with the 285s but you can fit 295 with a turning of the t bars.

285/75/R16 = 32.83 inches diameter and 11.22 inches wide.

295/75/R16 = 33.42 inches diameter and 11.61 inches wide.
