i had the same issue and was told by the dealer/service department it was caused by remotely starting my car via the my gmc app.

I had the same thing happen 4 days ago, then again 2 days ago.  Brought it to the dealer today, they said the same thing about the remote start from the app and also said remote start won’t work from key fob.  I corrected him on the key fob issue and showed him it still works even though the check engine light is on.  He was baffled by this.  This is the second time in 2.5 weeks my truck has been into the dealer, first was for the brake wear issue and 2 recalls.  Truck has 7400kms on it in 7months.

Randy, if your vehicle received the recent recalls and it sounds as it has, then GM suspects Low Voltage and the Remote Start App might be the culprits per TSB PIT5728A. GM came out with a new revised TSB 5728B [1/16/2020] that is supposed to counter the affects of the Low Voltage and Remote App problem.

Last night I had the exact same issue.  Started the vehicle, started to pull down the driveway into the garage and brakes went completely out.  Had to hit the parking brake to prevent hitting the wall in the garage.  6,000 miles on my 2019 Sierra 1500.  Talking to the dealer today.

Good to know I’m not alone. Had this happen too. Pulled into my aunts driveway and noticed my brakes didn’t feel right. Happened a few minutes later also. 2016 1500. Calling dealership today

2020 Silverado drove off the lot with 5 miles on it this passed Saturday.  8 miles to the house. with a total of 13, yes 13 miles, the service brake assist light comes on.  Took to dealership on Monday and they cant tell me what's wrong with it or when it will be fixed.  So I bought a $50K truck that has been with the dealership service department longer than in my driveway.  This was my first ever Chevy truck purchase and is very likely my last.  they get three attempt or 15 days to fix and then I am enacting the lemon law on GM.

You should have 72 hours to return it, no questions asked.

Your dealership should've told you at point of sell.  It's not a new thing.  Ask 'em.  I damn sure would on a brand new truck!

I was given this information from the finance guy when completing all the sales paperwork.

I think that's specific to the dealership, not a Chevy policy.  But I am definitely going to inquire.  Update:  just spoke to the dealership and they said no return policy but someone will be calling me to see "what they can do".

Great!  Hold their feet to the fire and they'll put you in a different truck since that one only has 13 miles on it and is less than 3 days old.

Got a call this morning and was told that the master cylinder was bad (after 13 miles).  The bad news is that there aren't any replacements parts available anywhere....no clue as to when it will be fixed...WTF?  Told them that I no longer wanted that vehicle at all and need to know how I can either get a new one or they can give me my trade back and cancel the whole deal.  Someone is supposed to be calling me back....its been 3 hours...

That's too long.  Get after them!  I'd be in the GM's office putting forth my best negotiation.  Stay in the fight!!

Swapping me out with a new truck.  Picking it up on the way home.  While I appreciate the swap, this still leaves a bad taste in my mouth regarding the quality of the product.  I sure hope this was just a freak thing,

Same issue with the 2020 AT4 I picked up last night. They're going to replace the master cylinder, which is on backorder, fortunately the parts guy did some digging and got another dealer to part with one.
