I was really excited about what the anniversary package woould look like.  To tell you the truth...I'm a little disapointed.  It looks real close to the ruby red they used for the 40th.  And the all "shale" interior just doesn't do it for me.  I'd rather just get a Z06, which I can do right now since the new magnetic ride control isn't part of the Z06 package anyway.  But this has got to be the first year in a LOOOOONG time, code 41 black will not be offered.

I agree with Rob! I'm not impressed! Pretty weak effort for such an important milestone!! Oh well, I'll just keep my '72 Big Block!!!

And I believe it's the first anniversary that doesn't have a one color theme.  This new car has some kind of red paint, gold wheels, and some cream colored interior.  The '88 was all white inside and out and even on the wheels, the '93 was all ruby red, but this interior color for the 50th car is no good.  Just the seats and upholserty would have been but, jeez...the DASH too!?!  I don't know what will glare on the window more, the HUD (very cool if you ever get a chance to see one) or the dash.

At least they did make it a little different.  I kinda like the monotone interior.  But I'm with Rob on this one.  On a bright sunny day with the top out of the coupe or top down in the convert, that dash is going to put a huge glare on the windshield.  Oh to have such problems.  :D

Wonder what the Star Black Metallic convert with Torch Red int looks like?

I finally found the wonders of polarized sunglasses. So that glare goes bye bye.  Unfortunately, it also makes the HUD almost invisible.  Damn...
