Just ordered an 04 Silverado, CC, Shortbox, D/A. Wondering if there's a phone number or website that would follow my truck through assembly? if I had the build number? I remember seeing somthing a few years back. Thanks everyone...

Congratulations!! I bet you are pretty excited about it. Just out of curiosity, what color did you get, and did you order the new engine or the tried-and-true Dmax?? Did your dealer have any info about the new engines?? Once again, congratulations on your purchase. Give us some pictures when it shows up.

I don't know about during assembly, but if you email Howard at [email protected] with your vin number he can tell you what train it is on and exactly where it is.

 

I got my VIN from my dealer a while after I ordered my truck.

One of these days I will get a diesel. Untill then the 02 Z71 will have to do. I figure about 7 more years and by then I will have enough saved up to be able to buy one. I have just over a year left on this one. It will be paid for Nov 04. I figure in 7 years they will probably be in the neighborhood of $50 + k Sad to think a vehicle can cost close to what a small nice home can run you in the suburbs.
