STEERING RATTLE

ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I GOT MY TRUCK, I NOTICED A RATTLE THAT FELT LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE STEERING. WELL IT WENT AWAY. NOW IT IS BACK. IT'S LIKE SOMETHING IS LOOSE. I HAVE FELT EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF AND EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE TIGHT. IT EVEN HAPPENS WHEN I AM ON SMOOTH PAVEMENT, BUT I REALLY NOTICE IT WHEN A MAKE A TURN. ANY IDEAS OF WHAT IT COULD BE?

Go to the dealer and they'll know what to do. The intermediate steering shaft more than likely needs to be repacked---a warranty issue.

And, turn off your ALL-CAPS. Makes it appear as if you are shouting at us.

I agree with lrymal on all accounts; steering shaft (warranty issue), and no more caps.

Yep!!! Intermediate steering shaft is the problem... It is covered under a TSB, and the dealer should take care of it assuming you are still under warranty. I had to have mine fixed for my truck...

I'm going to see the dealer tomorrow.

I had to take mine to to shop twice. The frist time they delt with the steering shaft. After about 3 months it was back. the second time, they said there was a PI(what ever that is) and they had to pull the steering unit and replace the bearings. works great now and it was covered under warenty, Hope that helps Chris
