The people at Stang Net or Ford? The people at Stang Net are not morons.

That is a bizarre defect. Really strange. Maybe if they can prove that the car came from the factory that way when it has some age on it it could be worth a lot, like a defective coin.

This can happen easily as the parts come down the line, they are put on the car. There is no time nor attention to both sides of the car like that.

Well I would have to agree with Paco on this one....... To me that car would be worth bucks cause it came of the factory like that... No one else has one and Ford made the goof. So of course ford would want it back because that shows that they do care about quality to get it fixed. However I would leave it like it is and hold out for the day you could call it a "RARE 1 in a MILLION" car and sell it on E-bay to some sucker (I mean collector) for a mint!!!

Finally got the chance to read the humor page, and I laughed out loud when I saw this (again). The guys on StangNet's Classic's page (I'm StangDreamin' over there) had a field day about that thread....some - not all - of the SN95 guys always cracked on the classics guys, then this came out.

In high school('78-79), I worked in the service lot of our local Caddy/GMC dealership. We had a monthly "swap meet" with the service boys from the Chevy dealership and would swap truck emblems like trading cards; as we had peeled them off THE WRONG trucks during delivery inspections.

My best haul: Three Silverado fender badges, two Scottsdale/Camper Special "B pillar" badges and a saddle-tan Bonanza dash pad netted me two Sierra Classic fender badges, one ('76!) High Sierra fender badge, two GMC steering wheel "horn caps" and an entire tailgate in Sierra Grande trim!

Guess every manufacturer has their bad days :jester:

What did you except they are fords..

At least it ain't a Dodge. 'Course, I don't hide the fact that I prefer fords in a 2:1 ratio over Chevys. just look down
