Bed Caps..

Anyone ever tried those Bed Caps? I have an older Silverado and the paint is worn on the top of the bed. I thought this would be neat way to hide old paint and add a little chrome. Opinions??

i have a set of diamond caps on mine .

they came with my truck and i think they kinda enhance the appearance and protect the truck. but like any aluminum or chrome product they will dull after time if not polished

I've got the same as what Tom has in his picture. They are the GM Bed Rail Protectors that match exactly with the whale tail on the tailgate. Personally I don't like the chrome looking covers because they don't match the tail gate. If you want to add a little chrome than I would go with the bed rails Tom has. That's just my $.02.

I would have to agree that the aluminum with the diamond plate really dress up a truck. Plus they are durable and don't limit you from stacking stuff on the sides. (for those that put the nurf bars on)

Well, I was really just goin' to cover up some older worn paint. I'd love to throw a new paint job on, but one place quoted me over $3,000 to do it. Anybody know of a good cheap place to do paint work in the Houston area?
