Gas mileage doing the Gordon Lightfoot

Took a 250 mile round trip run to Central Wisconsin today to pickup some countertops for a job .

Tried to see what I could get for gas mileage and was pretty impressed. 

All interstate 70 mph.

2018 Crew cab 6.5' bed 5.3 6 speed 3.42

Took this picture about halfway there.

I averaged 23.7 for the round trip.

It should get a little better with the Borla S type exhaust I'm installing in the next few days. And more miles to get it fully broke in. Around 10,000 miles my other 2018 Silverado started getting better mileage. 

These trucks get pretty decent gas mileage if you keep your foot out  of the firewall .

I’m really hoping my new 8 speed (otherwise configured like yours) will do about the same.  I guess time will tell though maybe not until this fall as I tend to rely on the bike a LOT more through the summer months for distance travel.
