Rpm and mph gauges jump while car shifts

A.j.

Question

We have a 2013 gmc terrain and a couple of days ago our car battery died we got it jumped and everything has been fine. I noticed today while driving the rpm and mph gauges started to jump while accelerating and car would jerk a little. What could be causing this issue?

Did you fix the cause of the battery dieing? Battery is 6 years old, should be tested and both cables need to be removed and clean even if they look clean.  You can't see with the cable connected so don't kid yourself.

That's a classic sign of a bad connection at one of the battery terminals - I'd give all of that a good check, especially since they were just touched.
