This sub box. What years does it fit? Would it fit a 98 OBS? any pics of it?

It fits my '01 just fine. I don't think it'll fit under the 98's but I will measure it for you. If you check out ebay and type in : "Silverado Box" you should find a few. Mine looks exactly like those. It has 1.2' of airspace and is constructed of 3/4" MDF board. I will get pics posted as soon as I can get ahold of my roommates digi-cam!

Looks like I won't be able to post the pictures of the sub box. My roommate left the cable for his digital camera back in Phoenix so I have to wait for him to call his old man and have him send it up.

You make some more crazzy mods to your truck? Did you replace your sub box? or decide you don't need the boom any more?
