Installing Optima in 96 K1500

I will be putting the dual terminal optima red top in my truck. Does anyone know if the stock hold downs will keep this battery secure or will I need to get something aftermarket to do so?

I have one that bolted right up in my '90 GMC, and then moved to the '95 Tahoe. Bolted right up in both of them with stock hold downs without any modifications. I bought the battery in the spring of '99 and it is holding up great, best money I ever spent.

Just be sure to check the positive and negative terminal locations. they make them standard and reverse... make sure you get the correct configuration or your cables wont reach....

stock hold down worked perfect in my 95 and that is the BEST battery i have EVER owned.....i have run that battery totally dead at LEAST a half a dozen times and every time, all i did was jump start it and it was fully charged (or at least acted like it) after my 50 mile drive home from work!
