hill decent control and trailer brakes

I'm buying a camper trailer, and live on a very steep and long gravel road.  Does anyone know if the hill decent control activates the trailer brakes as well as the truck brakes?   No mention of it either way that I could see in the owners manual.

No it does not activate trailer brakes only the truck. I went through the Smokey mountains last year and it controlled my rig just fine on the down hill runs and I pull a big trailer.
