1997 CK1500 ...... PCM???

For our trucks there is Westers PCM, Hypertech Programmers, and Superchips programmers.

I have heard excellent reviews of the Westers PCM.

I have heard horrible things about the Hypertech (waste of money).

The superchips is in between. If you get one for the right price (I got mine brand new for $220 on ebay) its a lot cheaper than $400 for a Westers. My unit had defective software, but superchips fixed it and is sending it back to me and I should have it today. So I dont know exactly what the power increase will be, but it is better than a hypertech. Hypertech only gives you more power @ WOT, while Superchips adds power at all throttle positions.

Also, you can adjust shift points, octane settings, change tire sizes for your speedo, and even reset your codes with the superchips unit.

For the most performance, get the Westers PCM. I havent seen the Superchips power increase just yet, but I think for the money, it will be a better bargain than the Westers. I will let you know how I like it.

As for price you get what you pay for. Handhelds are for WOT only, westers is all the way across the powerband. I would call and talk with lyndon, he will make you a believer. Is is one of the nicest and talented guys you will ever meet. Just call and listen to him, you will order one.
