Need Towing Mirror Info

I have a 2015 Silverado 2500HD with Duramax. I want to swap out mirrors for tow mirrors. I am having trouble finding out if my OEM wiring harness will work with factory tow mirrors. These will have all functions except auto extend. Need part numbers,etc.

There are a couple strings here on this subject. I did a swap out on my 16 as soon as I got it.

When was your 2015 built?  Check the driver's door jamb, should have a month/year.  Important to know for 2015 model year HD on mirror swap.

Look in the glovebox for RPO AVF, if you have this, then truck was built after August 14, 2014.

 

With this RPO, you need harnesses. Without this RPO, you need harnesses and a jumper harness.

Dealer parts department should be able to use the vin to tell you what you need -- and quote the parts so you have something to compare to.

GM dealer quoted price of $1600.00 for pair. Totally outrageous. Will look for aftermarket mirrors.

Did you try contacting pgamboa who advertises on this forum. He has all the wire harnesses to hook up different towing mirrors and also has a contact for towing mirrors that won't break the bank. Good luck.
