Anyone else think that GM has a long way to go to catch up with Ford? The new interior is AMAZING! I still could not bring myself to buy a Ford but my goodness for 35k+ you would expect GM to get rid of some plastic. Anyway....

I agree...And I hate to say it but.....The exterior looks d@mn nice too.

I'm kinda thinking that Chevy lost this round of the appearance war.

I looked at one up close yesterday, and that is one good looking rig.

The seats (leather) felt like something out of a Yugo though. Uncomfortable as he!!. Ford has a ways to go on the comfort level.

Thats comforting...I guess.

I think the new F150 is better that the older body style, but I'm still not a big fan. They tried to copy Dodge and make it look like a superduty or something, and I think they may have overdone it. I have yet to see the interior, but I've never seen a Ford interior that I liked. My friend has a Mustang and I think its terrible in there, especially with the manual transmission. Have to reach way forward for it and its not a very nice shifting tranny. I think when it comes the overall product, Chevy still wins in the long run.

I think it does look better than the previous generation,BUT when you look at the interior of the new FORD truck it really out did GM and I'm no FORD fan, but you have to give credit where the credit is due. Hopefully GM will take notice and start getting rid of some of the plastic.

It's OK on SOME models. Looks like s**t on the FX4. It is OK on the XL. The only Ford truck that looked right with a floor shifted auto was the first gen Ranger/B2 ('83-'88). Looks strange in the '04 F-150.

One of the main reasons why I have never owned one is that I have never sat in a comfortable Ford truck......Even the 87 Ranger.

Old Rangers were comfortable. The seats never sagged and they were well padded. They are alright on the '02, but not great.

Better than the roll of paper towels lumbar on Chevys...

Paco, you come and sit in my either truck of mine, and feel what you are missing.

Ford has a LOT to learn about passenger comfort.

But it's not worth bickering about, everyone has a different a$$ crack too.

Sat in an '02...like I said, lumbar support like a roll of paper towels. I have never sat in a '92 Blazer...so I don't know there.

I spent 13 years in the seat of an '86 Ranger and did fine. Fords from the '80s and early '90s were comfortable. Our '02 Ranger is decent (some magazines have praised the interior of XLT Rangers). Tauri/Sables are somewhat comfortable, older ones were more comfortable though.
