05 sierra wiring problems

Recommended Posts

So I recently had to replace the entire front clip on my 05 sierra after playing tag with a deer. When I replaced the core support I had to remove the 2 ground wires on either side of the truck that tied into the wiring harness for the headlights. they were mounted on the frame behind the front bumper and when I removed them i snapped the bolts, so I had to mount them to the core support itself when I reassembled everything. All the lights work except not my fog light wont turn on and my passenger side blinkers flash like I have a blown bulb even tho I replaced all the bulbs front and rear. I have checked my fuses and relay but the driver side turn signals flash at normal speed. Any ideas as to why I'm having said issues when I never had in issue prior to hitting a deer? Sorry for such a long post!

Grounding problem IMO.

Or damaged wires.

Try removing your grounding points to the core support and using a jumper wire pick a new grounding point and see if it fixes it.

The place you used to ground "the core support" I don't know what you're talking about.

Radiator core?

I would put it back where it was grounded. Soak the broken bolts with Blaster or Liquid Wrench. Let this sit and keep soaking them. If you can get to the remaining bolt that is protruding ta it with a hammer.

Get an ease out and try to remove the broken bolts after they have soaked for a while.

If you don't want to do this, then make new grounding points on the frame.

:)
